Interior Drone Photography

Interior Drone Photography & FPV Video β€” Northeast Ohio & Western PA

A ground-based camera can only tell part of the story of a large or architecturally interesting interior. It shows walls, floors, and furniture β€” but it can't convey height, volume, flow, or the way a space actually feels to someone moving through it. Interior drone photography delivers that missing dimension, giving clients, guests, and prospects a perspective on your space that no other camera position can achieve.

Interior drone flight β€” capturing the scale, volume, and flow of spaces that ground-level cameras can't convey.

Spaces We Shoot

Any large, complex, or architecturally significant interior benefits from aerial perspective. These are the most common use cases β€” but if your space doesn't fit neatly into one of them, contact us anyway. If a drone can fly in it, we can shoot it.

Event Venues & Banquet Facilities

A slow aerial reveal of a beautifully set ballroom or reception hall β€” lighting, dΓ©cor, table arrangements, full room scale β€” is one of the most effective booking tools a venue can have. Show prospects what their event will actually feel like before they ever walk through the door.

Chapels & Houses of Worship

Capture the ceiling height, architectural detail, and atmosphere of sacred spaces in a way that moves people. Ideal for wedding venue marketing, congregation outreach, and historical documentation of spaces that took years or decades to build.

Spa, Fitness & Wellness Facilities

Country clubs, luxury fitness centers, and wellness facilities invest heavily in their interior environments. Aerial video showcases the full scope of that investment β€” open floor plans, equipment layouts, pool and spa areas β€” in a single flowing shot.

Commercial & Retail Interiors

Large showrooms, multi-level retail spaces, and corporate lobbies benefit immediately from aerial perspective. Show the scale of a floor plate, the flow between departments, or the architectural statement of an atrium in footage that dozens of ground-level frames could never approximate.

Industrial & Warehouse Facilities

Document the full footprint of a warehouse, manufacturing floor, or distribution center from above. Ideal for lease marketing, operational documentation, capacity planning presentations, and insurance records β€” capturing spatial relationships that ground-level photography misses entirely.

Architectural & Construction Documentation

Track interior progress from framing through finish β€” repeatable aerial angles at each visit create a compelling before-and-after record for developer presentations, owner updates, lender documentation, and marketing materials when the space is complete.

How Interior Drone Flight Works

1
Pre-Shoot Consultation & Shot Planning

We discuss what you need the footage to accomplish and which areas of the space are most important to feature. From that conversation we build a shot list before we ever arrive on site β€” no wasted time figuring it out in the room.

2
Airspace Authorization β€” Yes, Even Indoors

If a building sits within controlled airspace β€” and a significant number of commercial, industrial, and event properties in the greater Cleveland and Akron metro area do β€” FAA LAANC authorization is required before any drone operation, including interior flight. The FAA's airspace rules apply from the ground up, regardless of whether the drone ever goes outside. Ed Rich handles all required authorizations as standard practice on every job.

3
Site Assessment & Platform Setup

Before the first flight, we walk the space β€” assessing ceiling clearances, lighting conditions, doorway widths, sensitive equipment, and any areas requiring special care. NE Ohio Drone uses a dedicated compact 4K platform purpose-built for interior work, not a full-size outdoor drone forced into a tight space.

4
Interior Aerial Capture

Flying indoors removes GPS β€” the positioning system that makes outdoor drone flight relatively forgiving. Indoor flight relies entirely on the pilot's skill and the drone's optical and infrared sensors for stability. It requires precision, patience, and experience. Every interior shoot is captured in 4K RAW, preserving full dynamic range regardless of lighting conditions β€” from dramatic event lighting to large industrial spaces with uneven illumination.

5
Post-Production & Delivery

Footage is edited, color graded, and delivered as a finished product β€” typically within 24 hours of the shoot. No raw files to hand off, no additional production step needed on your end. Ed Rich handles the full post-production process in-house, the same way he does for every other client.

Recurring Interior Documentation Programs

For clients with ongoing interior documentation needs β€” construction projects tracking progress through multiple phases, event venues refreshing their marketing library each season, or facilities undergoing phased renovation β€” NE Ohio Drone offers scheduled recurring interior shoot programs. Consistent angles, repeatable coverage, and a growing visual record of your space over time. Retainer pricing is structured around your project calendar. Contact Ed Rich directly to discuss a program that fits your timeline and budget.

Deliverable Formats

Finished Video β€” Edited, color-graded video in HD or 4K, delivered in formats ready for web embedding, social media, and presentation playback. Ad-free private hosting via SproutVideo is available β€” no competitor ads, no distracting suggestions alongside your content.

High-Resolution Photography β€” Interior aerial stills, color-graded in post, delivered in web-ready and print-ready formats. Suitable for websites, brochures, lease marketing packages, and digital advertising.

Social Media Cuts β€” Shorter formatted edits optimized for Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn β€” same footage, cut for the platform. Available as part of any video package on request.

If your project has specific format, naming, or delivery requirements, let us know upfront β€” we build that into the production process from the start.

⚠ Restricted & Sensitive Environments Some interior spaces present access challenges that make ground-based documentation difficult or impractical β€” high ceiling areas above active machinery, mezzanine levels without safe access, or spaces where sending personnel would create operational or safety risk. Interior drone photography can document these areas safely and thoroughly without disrupting operations or putting people in harm's way. Contact Ed Rich directly to discuss the specific requirements of your facility.
✈ Why FAA Licensing Matters β€” Even Indoors An unlicensed operator almost certainly won't know that controlled airspace rules apply to interior flight, let alone know how to comply. Hiring an unlicensed drone pilot β€” indoors or out β€” creates legal and insurance exposure for the property owner, not just the operator. Ed Rich holds FAA Part 107 certification and carries $1 million in liability insurance on every job. Learn more about why FAA licensing matters.
πŸ”’ Confidentiality You Can Count On Every project is conducted under strict confidentiality. We never share client locations, footage, or facility details without written permission. NDA arrangements are available and welcome.
